Now that I have gotten over my initial negative and angry reaction to the
insinuation that I am a liar, I thought the list might be interested in
how it all works.

In December (looks like it must have been Dec. 15 according to Charette's
log) I received a new computer from my university - a nice replacement for
the 486 33 mghtz dino I've been using for the past three years. At any
rate, all new software was installed - including, at my request, filters
for email. Now.....I haven't got any idea how they work - I just know how
to turn them on and off - but I resubscribed to Klarinet and then promptly
engaged the filter. So.....if Charette's logs show I am receiving the
messages - that's probably the way it works. However - I AM NOT - THEY
ARE DELETED BY REQUEST BEFORE I SEE THEM. Now - why would I do all this?
Because I am a member of 4 listservs, and I don't want to go through the
painful process of subscribing and unsubcribing everytime I need to leave
the list for a period of time. I was also asked to delete messages from
our school server because of the space it takes up, and the messages that
explain how to subscribe and unsubcribe were imbedded in each message I
received. The filter is easy.

Why am I explaining this? Because I resent the accusation that I lied to
the list. I turned off the filter for the Klarinet list when contacted by
someone else who asked me to consider returning to the list - as a lurker.
Then I caught Tony Pay's continued harrangue of my character furthered by
Charette's example of list administration. This all occurred on the day I
said it did. That I would be accused of lying by someone who only has
their half of the equation shows the attitude toward me by the list
administrator. There are no white lies.......everything I said was true
and correct.

So - where are the private posts? The apology you made and never posted
publicly, and the statements that show other "white lies". We're all
waiting!
