NO you shouldn't consider buying an instrument without serial number.It may
be

Maybe not. When a joint cracks and Buffet replaces it under warranty, the new
joint won't have a serial number on it. So the question is, does it look as
though the serial number was sanded off, or is it pristine? If so, they're
probably replacement joints (though I'd be a little surprised to see both
joints in such condition). I think it's worth a look, myself, and if you can
convince yourself that it's not hot, consider buying it. That is, if it's a
good instrument--a judgement you'll have to make.
