Dan Leeson said, with respect to comments about Stoltzman:

>In my opinion, this kind of question ("What do you think of Stoltzman?")
>brings out the greatest number of incomprehensible postings. An opinion
>on Stoltzman (or anyone for that matter) should be meaningful to the
>readers of that posting. One does not have to agree but one must
>understand it.

Dan said more, as well, but I think this gives the flavor of his concern.
My reply to the question wasn't intended to satisfy Dan - I don't think
that is possible. Certainly I have no way of describing in words what I
dislike about his choice of when to use vibrato and the quality of that
vibrato. I can't even describe it to *my* satisfaction, no less to Dan's.

Dan seems to be rejecting the question, which is quite reasonable. Having
rejected it, however, it seems strange that he would bother objecting to
the answers.

Since "Jenn D" wrote:

>True opinions of Richard Stoltzman.

>I've heard many things... what do you think?.

Jenn asked for opinions and got them.

I think we need to hear again from Jenn. Do our answers have meaning to
her? Would she like more detail? Should her question be clarified?
