COUESNON
This French firm bought out many smaller companies in 1882 and became
purveyors to the army.
According to the Langwill third edition, many musical instruments were
manufactured at Couesnon, either with the previous bought out firm's
names or sometimes without any name.

The clarinet that Larry Paiken has is with the name Couesnon on it.
It was interesting to me because when I met him at the Clarinet Fest in
Colombus, I wondered whether we could make a better instrument out of it
by attaching my new Bb vent on it.
We did this in Toronto and it seems to work well. A better barrel and a
new mouthpiece and voila, a better clarinet.
