I have an RC Bb and an R13 A clarinet, apart from some differences to the
bore shape of the clarinet the keywork etc of the R13 is identical to the
RC. Check out the Boosey & Hawkes website for further details.

As for "missing out" on the R13, presumably you tried out your RC before you
bought it and if you were satisfied with the sound then there should be no
problem as they are both excellent instruments.

For what it is worth I preferred the slightly darker sound of the brighter
sounding Bb but the exact opposite when it came to picking the A. Whatever
your choice may you make wonderful music for many years to come
