Subj: [kl] Bible question - further refinements
Date: Fri, 18 Dec 1998 01:41:19 -0500

While reading all of your responses, I have been shocked by the truth of
how differently people interpret the same question. Even with some odd
interpretations, the info generated here has been quite helpful. Thank you,
everyone. This is obviously a topic about which people care dearly.

As a sort of refinement on my question / project proposal, I will only
be analyzing the effect upon one composer of each "major" branch of
Christianity (and Secularism). I am not comparing the composers, but the
effect that the establishments of religion (or lack thereof) upon
composition. I will be including Catholocism, Anglicanism, Lutheranism and
secularism. If there has been a major Jewish composer from Baroque to
Modern, I would also like to include him/her. I am also still desperate for
other authors' analyses, if there have been any on such a topic.
All of your suggestions have been quite wonderful, so thank you again.
-James
