Is there a reason you chose the Classical to Twentieth Century as your time
frame? It seems it would be much easier to pick the Middle Ages thru the
Renaissance to the Baroque when so much of the music was directly related to
Biblical text, and the church played such a major role in society from
Gregorian Chants to Monteverdi to Bach.
