I asked a question similar to yours earlier this year concerning music and
the Book of Genesis. One of the most consistent responses I got was Haydn's
Oratorio "The Creation". There were another couple of works mentioned, but
I will have to dig through some of my things to find them. If I come up
with any more I will post a list of them.

Good luck with your project! It sounds like that would be a pretty cool
area to study, and I'm sure you will find plenty.
