A dealer with a national chain of music stores once told me that International
Models with a "W" serial number are equivalent to R13s. I haven't
substantiated this with Boosey & Hawkes, so I would characterize it as legend
or myth at this point. I have played only one Buffet International clarinet
and it was a VERY fine clarinet, much better than the average intermediate
clarinet. I believe all of the International models are made in Germany.
