Not true. If you are a new user on eBay, you usually begin by using your email
address as your user ID. Later, you can decide to pick something more "cool."
That's why you get the sunglasses icon. It's doesn't mean you're doing
anything fishy or underhanded or that you have something to hide. Very often,
a brand new eBayer will switch from his or her email ID to a new User ID
before s/he has garnered any feedback.

Even if you change your User ID at a later date, your old feedback stays with
you...good or bad. The only way to "lose" any feedback would be to re-register
under a new identity with a new email address and new credit card.

I am not saying that the concerto auction is authentic OR that it's a hoax.
I'm just clarifying the eBay practice of assigning the sunglasses icon.
