In case noone has yet discovered.... This is the concerto called "X" by
Scott McAllister. It was originally for clarinet and piano, then came
a version for clar. and wind ensemble, then a version for clar. and
string orchestra. It's supposed to be terrific and my wind ensemble
director is considering having me play it this spring with our wind
ensemble. It has in deed received high critical acclaim and currently
Charlie Neidich is playing it around the country with other
performances scheduled by Michigan State University with Elsa
Ludewig-Verdehr as soloist. Just thought that you guys might want to
know.
