The E-11 is Buffet's lowest end wood clarinet. I think you are
probably referring to the E-12 or E-13(if they still make those). The
E-11 is the "intermediate" clarinet, the E-12 is the "advanced
intermediate", the E-13 is the "entry-level pro", and the R-13 is of
course the artist-professional. ANY Buffet clarinet is excellent, so
yes it is a good substitute even though it might not be the R-13.
