If you would like to know a bit about SML (Strasser, Marigaux, Lemaire), there is
a good piece at:

http://www.norapost.com/MARIGAUX.html

For awhile (probably around the 70's), SML made clarinets for King (H.N. White)
which were sold as King/Marigaux, King/Strasser and King/Lemaire instruments. The
Marigaux was the professional line. Strasser was the intermediate line and
Lemaire was the student line. I have a King/Marigaux alto clarinet and it is a
wonderful instrument (even if it is an alto ;^) ) The workmanship, in
particular the keywork, is magnificent.

Assuming the clarinet is used, IMHO at $500 or so it would be a good buy. At $300
it would be a steal.

Best regards,
Jack Kissinger
