Tantamount to the same thing in religion ("what's a good religion? :^).

Not between you & I!
Outlook & Netscape are both free and bundled with reasonable mail
editors, as is Eudora. None have what I would call really _good_
text-based mail editors, but useable nonetheless. Both can do nice
looking HTML messages, but I find those inappropriate for mail lists. I
don't have any problems doing a little editing to make the quoting
reasonable in any of those packages, and if I need to really work at it
I can copy the message to Word (or WordPerfect, or Wordpad) and edit it
there. I can then copy it back to the mail window.
Not the perfect solution, but then again I'd rather _not_ have the mail
programs put too complex of an editor within the mail program.
I understand some people not wanting to snip out _any_ of the previous
posts for fear of being accused of taking things out of context, but I
don't understand people not cutting out the "unsubscribe" trailer.
_That_ can always be safely discarded. Some people in the world don't
have unlimited connect time like most of us in the US, and it costs real
money to download all that trash!
Cheers,
