You're working on Weber # 2, right?

Tommy Thompson showed me the following years ago, =

and I've used it ever since:

Use the "long" F (6 fingers + the C#/G# key);
for the Bb, add the throat Ab and the right hand F/C key.
The note pops right out and is very stable. =

Also, it minimizes finger movement, so your embouchure isn't disturbed.

IMHO, the best recording is still the old one by De Peyer, paired =

with the Spohr # 1. I'm pretty sure it's been reissued on CD.
He gets real notes, not just controlled squeaks, on the F, A and Bb,
and also in the top C in the Spohr.
