Very interesting. This serial number appears to be from the same series as
the bass clarinets (my alto clarinet, too). 24111 would have been made in
1989, if this surmise is correct.

This horn has come to me from the estate of a fine clarinetist and teacher,
Jim Russell, East Bay Area, California. Despite its low serial number
(24111) it is a "late-model" horn, and it is in perfect condition.
