Stephanie

Congratulations!
Last year my daughter had the pleasure of going to Indianapolis when her
high school band was one of the 16 bands invited. She had a wonderful time
and greatly enjoyed the workshops and other sessions. Based on her
experience, I would certainly encourage you (although it doesn't sound like
*YOU* need any!)to go and
encourage your parents to support you. However, I would also suggest that
you might investigate ways of lightening the load on your parents. You may
be able to get some modest financial support from a local civic organization
in exchange for a recital at one of their meetings or other activities.
