Piano Accompaniments

In the last couple of years I have had two students (one who ordered the
International Edition of Mozart K.622 Concerto and one who ordered the
International Edition of the Weber Concerto) get clarinet parts with no piano
accompaniments. Is this a new trend or just a freak accident?

In my youth I always got both parts as a matter of course. (Also there was
no choice.) My local store in town refuses to stock concerto level pieces
saying, "There is not enough call for them," so I haven't been able to see
anything recently. Any one know the answer to this?
