I appreciate your view, but (forgive me, Dan, if I am saying this out of turn,
I really don't want to step on your toes.) I believe that what Dan is saying
is that it is difficult to separate the man from the music when the man "is"
the music -- meaning that his views were apparent in his works. If Wagner
never wrote anything with any lyrics or theme, (again, forgive my attempt at
brevity) then perhaps it would be easier to separate the "man from his music?"

just a thought.
