Klarinet Archive - Posting 000177.txt from 1998/12
From: James Pyne <jpyne@-----.edu> Subj: [kl] Pyne Clarion mouthpiece symbols Date: Fri, 4 Dec 1998 16:52:36 -0500
The letters engraved on each of our Signature mouthpiece models:
Bn, Bc, Pk, ~M, Jx, etc. refer only to the bore taper.
The symbols we engrave above the bore designations refer to the
facings.
A check mark is for a medium close facing;
a sine wave with a single slash through it is a medium facing;
a sine wave with two slashes through it is a medium open facing.
