The sessions were recorded, but never issued.
I hadn't thought about this for some time, so I phoned up Derek Bailey.
He doesn't do Company any more, after 17 years, but he's doing a gig in
London on Sunday January 3, a duo with a Alex Ward, a clarinet player I
don't know (from Oxford!), so I'll go.
Anyone else? Vortex, in Stoke Newington Church Street (towards the Park
end, above a bookshop) around 8pm.
He said he'd send me a couple of tracks from 1984; I don't know what
it'll sound like. I remember Derek saying at the time, "I've no idea
whether any of it's any good, but I enjoy doing it!"
