My son played with the Pyne string ligature (made by Kyle Pyne, if I
remember right - Hi Kyle :) for a few months last year, but found that
at least for him it stretched a bit too much after that to fit well.

If I remember right it sounded just fine - it was the longevity that was
the problem.
