Considering all the discussions about the effect of different gases
affecting the pitch, aren't we missing an opportunity?
If we can control this concept, we should be able to eliminate lugging
around all those clarinets in different pitches. The part is for Eb? No
problem - just adjust the He/CO2 ratio. You'd rather do "Til" for the
original D clarinet? Just tweak the ratio!
We shouldn't need both an A and a Bb either.
If it is easier to raise pitch than to lower it, could we play everything
on the contra?
