Tony,
The exact same problem with Roger has surfaced in the past - he & Jonathan
Cohler had at it. Jonathan's a physicist, and was trying to explain
acoustics to Roger. Roger had no clue, argued nits, and finally Jonathan
just left the list - no one needs that kind of abuse when the points are
argued well or there's factual evidence to back up claims.

I had a grand time with Jonathan once on the Nyquist Theorem - both of us
understood the math fine (I have degrees in electrical engineering and
worked in nuclear and acoustic engineering for a few years), but Roger (and
a whole slew of other folk) just refuse to believe in waveform
reconstruction from digital data.

BTW - as Klarinet owner I get mail asking to moderate the list quite often
because of particular people being overbearing, issuing ad hominem attacks,
or being just plain ordinary louts. In the last go-round, please be advised
that your name was never mentioned out of 26 such moderatyion (or blacklist)
requests.

All in all, a pretty intelligent readership :^)
