Ruff...weather, especially humidity (or lack thereof) can play havoc with your
reeds (and your instrument). Best strategy is to have a variety of reed
strengths available to counter whatever the climate wants to throw at you.
I normally use VanDoren and Zonda 3 1/2 's. I bought a box of VanDoren 4's.
Guess what? Two of the reeds played excellently for me, and three are two
hard. I'm keeping the 4's mostly unused in case we get a run of mushy weather.
