Thank you for responses to my reed heel questions. Yes,I think both of reed
profile(shape of bottom surface) and upper contour are important to vibrant
reeds. As pointed out V12 has thick talon(heel) but has less denser cane,
which enable clarinet players with small tip clearance mouthpiece good
playability:it may be not good or become very hard for larger tip clearance
mouthpieces.

By the way, I knew ReedWiZard is sold,which is invented by a Metlopolitan
Opera clarinetist. Do anyone know other reed profiling tools commercially
available? - I am an awkward clarinetist who seeks any tools to improve my
tones and agilty!
