Well... I would recommend Vandoren V12's, because for me, they fit under
that description, but, instead of looking for reeds that are good and last a
while, just look for good reeds. And, there's no other way than to try as
many as you can. Local music shops usually allow customers to buy reeds
individually instead of a box. That is the easiest way (though you may get
unusually bad lemons or may get really good flukes)

But, though I won't recommend it because of price and the fact that people
just have a problem with it being synthetic (people always say my sound is
great until they see it's synthetic. Then, magically, my sound becomes nails
on a blackboard), the Harry Hartman Fiberreed is a really good, easy blowing
reed with a very good, albeit tense, sound. It's not crass like plastics,
and is harder to control with softer, quieter sounds, but overall a good
reed.
