There is no such thing as a cheap Bass Clarinet! It would be a sin
to just throw them away as you can see from the ads Bass Clars are hard
to find. It literally took me years to find a decent used one & I would
have (& did) play on anything while I waited for my own instrument. I
would appeal to not only the band director but also possibly involve
other school officials & the public (I would assume your parents would
back you up on this) if I found out this waste was going on in my school
district, If this is a public school district don't forget you are a
taxpayer & you should have some say in something as wasteful as this
seems to be.

PS What do you have against Bass Clarinets anyway that you woudn't want
one?
Try it you might like it! They can be habit forming!
