Subject: Re: [kl] double lip embouchure
Hello All:
One thing no one has mentioned, (to my knowledge), in regard to double lip
embouchure is the newly available clarinet strap. It would seem to me that
this would be a great help for stabilizing the instrument especially when
standing. I haven't used the double lip embouchure, but I can remember many
a four-hour Dixieland gig when I wished I had something that would help with
right hand cramping and/or pain. I know that these straps are available
from WW & BW and I think they are elastic to a certain degree, (maybe not?).
In any case, maybe we could hear from someone who's tried them with the
double lip embouchure.

New Strap from Neotech called the "CEO" (Clarinet, English Horn & Oboe)
that is quite good. Elastic feeling without actually stretching. Slide
style strap adjustment, that doesn't feel like the Clarinet is about to go
through your throat. I got it for my 7 yr old. Has a clip, as well as a
material that can fit onto regular thumb rests without a ring.
