Changing the location of the rehearsal without telling you? Didn't that
make you feel as though they were trying to tell you something?

That would seem to be the equivalent of every adolescent's nightmare -
you are away at summer camp, and your parents move while you are away
without telling you, or they forget that you aren't there.
