Subj: [kl] double lip embouchure

I have wondered some things about the double lip embouchure for awhile now.
For those of you who have switched, why? Also, what do you think is the
hardest thing about the switch? And for anyone who has heard double lip
players, what differences do you notice? I have used the double lip on
occasion, but I do it to correct my sound for single lip. And for those of
you who may be interested, my teacher has taught me an interesting method.
To roll your top lip up before you play, and then place it down on the top
of your mouthpiece with your teeth. The teeth in this case are supposed to
act as a reinforcement, for those who may not be as strong in the upper
lip. I think the control with this embouchure is excellent. But, I have
just started experimenting with that particular style, so it is technically
untested for myself.
