If you like the Selmer-type sound, you could try a Selmer C85 115. It is
more open, but not so much more as the HS**, which would be another good
option. The HS* needs a pretty stiff reed, but I play a Mitchell Lurie 3
or Vandoren 2 1/2 on my C85 115 (but could go up a notch). Even the C85
105 is a bit more open than the HS*. I use the C85 now because the
altissimo intonation is much better for me than that of the Vandorens.
