First, I take out my mouthpiece and set it aside. I use a silk swab to clean
the bore, which I pull in both directions(barrel to bell,bell to barrel)
several times until I feel that it's dry. I take it apart and clean all the
joints making sure everything is dry before I put it back in the case. As for
the mouthpiece, I VERY carefully run the silk swab through it once, and then
clean off the outside as well as the joint. If I'm polishing or oiling the keys
or cleaning the air holes and pads, I do that when the clarinet is
disassembled.
