Hmm.... that sounds like a good idea. Our band just usually plays the
wrong song or something. Switching instruments, huh? .......ideas are
forming....
Just kidding. I love my band director. I'd never let my peers do that to
him. It's bad enough I get ticked when they're rude to him!

My daughter plays in one of the best HS bands in a county that is rich in
truly excellent symphonic bands. However, they're still a bunch of kids
(sorry honey!)
On those rare occasions when they have a substitute teacher, the band
takes
great delight in rehearsing after everyone switches instruments. The
substitutes take roll and apparently remain blissfully unaware while the
kids "practice." My daughter assures me they sound unimaginably awful
while
the subs don't seem to notice, on the other hand she claims she's getting
fairly good at doubling on an oboe.
