Just an added comment about the harmonics available from high up chromatically
on the bass---these triads can actually be expanded to dominant 7ths--and in
some cases the upper octave harmonic also. I regularly warm up on these
harmonics because they help me control tongue and throat placement and add
richness to the bottom register of the bass. In addition, I like to carefully
listen the the third and fifth harmonics present in every low note on the
instrument to adjust sound quality. Chester754
