My tour mouthpiece story. I've been playing Morgan Rm10 on Bb and C clarinet
for the last year. The mouthpieces tune really nicely. Just before leaving
home I bought a Kasper, from Chester, and I've been playing that on this tour.
This kasper is the only mouthpiece in 20 yrs that I've ever played that I've
gotton comments on from others(non clarinetists) in the band. All really
positive!! While playing this Kasper and getting use to It's flavor, I tried a
fobes, and I think the fobes has alot of that Kasper flavor I'm getting used
to. The facings on the two are different but the sound is remarkably similar.
The Fobes tunes great!! As I get older I'm finding tuning mybe even more
important the the sound! I can't believe I just said that. I still love the
sound of my RM10 "C" clarinet mouthpiece and I'm also playing one on my
Soprano Sax!! It's so nice to know there are people out there making good
stuff for us to go crazy over. Gennusa just sent me some E blank zinners and
my wife wants to know, "When will it ever stop?
