Interesting, though a long way from me. Berlioz was far from fond
of the serpent; what he would have expected was two ophicleides, though he
only suffered *those* by default of anything better likely to be available
in France. See his "Memoirs" re this - recommended to *everybody* who
hasn't read them, in fact.
