I thank David Glenn for giving us the text of Klocker's statements
about that piece. I must admit being saddened by Klocker's remarks
because they say absolutely nothing. It is unfortunate that such
a fine player is reduced to making such empty, vacuous statements.
What can one do in the face of statements that say, in effect, "I
don't know very much, but maybe this work 'will contribute to the
solving of the riddle connected with' the 6th violin concerto of
Mozart." This statement without any substance has absolutely no
meaning.
There is no riddle and there hasn't been about the 6th vln. concerto since
1920 and he should know about it before putting his remarks in print
