I don't know anything about Sibelius but I've used Finale - it's way more
powerful than what I need. I'm using QuickScore Elite for Windows -
takes MIDI files from anywhere. I also use MIDIScan but don't have as
big a problem with re-editing. I use "clean" copy and fiddle with the
copy ranges etc and have less editing to do. I've found the editor in
MIDIScan is quick and easy. I haven't tried the LIME notation that came
with it yet. I use MIDIScan primarily for making MIDI files of church
choir music then Quickscore for transposing into lower keys for the
accompanist. I realize that there are as many preferences for software
as for mouthpieces. I wish you luck in finding what works best for you!
