(Hmm, there seems to be a run on Albert system clarinets pitched in C.) In
August, Tom Puwalski (of this mailing list) also asked for information
about an Albert system clarinet in C, and I sent him (privately) the name
and telephone number of an email-challenged friend of mine who has such an
instrument that he is willing to sell. I don't remember what the make of
the instrument is, but I do remember that is of "fairly-good-quality."
(I've played it, but that was several years ago.) I also don't know if Tom
has contacted the owner about the instrument.

I'm posting this message to warn Tom that I'm about to send the same name
and telephone number (of a former member of the US Navy Band) to Steven.
So, Tom, if you haven't called him and are still interested, now's the time
to make the call.

This also appears to be a good time to mention again that I own a "matched
pair" (whatever that means) of B-flat and A clarinets in the Albert system
made in 1908. I don't use them and would let them go for a fair price.
