I am planning a recital for late winter / early spring. So far, I plan to
play Weber's Grand Duo Concertant and Brahms' 2nd sonata. Will these two
make for enough of a program? If not, what piece could I add? I would like
to keep the program to pieces originally for Kl and Pno (ie no
transcriptions), but I can easily find another competent clarinettist (Say,
for Mendellsohn concertschtuck 1 or 2) or a violist (for the Kegelstatt) or
even a cellist (Beethoven trio op. 38 I think). Thoughts?
Of course, you'll all be invited - It will be in the Amherst (MA) area in
February or March.
Oh yeah, I forgot: I could also do the Fantasieschtuka (but I don't really
like the second one).
