Thank you, all, for your comments. They basically reinforced my thoughts
that I have this long road to go ... I've been trying to stay away from
experimenting too much with equipment. The only major changes I've done
is going from the stock C85 115 mouthpiece (a fine playing mouthpiece,
but too, well, whatever - it didn't sound like what I wanted to hear),
to a B45 that still plays nicely, to my current one, a Hawkins that I
really like - close faced, but you can really get some volume out of it
and it "sweetens" the Selmer (whatever _that_ means). Now it's time to
start fiddling with barrels :)
