"Martin" suggests "Martin freres", a formerly well-known French
manufacturer. Green suggests you've got an old ebonite instrument. These
were made ostensibly for use in the tropics where wood might suffer, and
normally have stainless steel keywork, as copper alloys would blacken
rapidly with the sulphur in the rubber.
