Hello all! I will begin with a caveat - I am new to the list and am
particularly interested in observing what other people post just to
learn. :)

I have recently began playing my clarinet again after 10 years (as a
hobby more than anything else). I played clarinet all through junior
high and high school and sat as 1st chair throughout high school. I
played in a quartet, trio, duet and soloed. I thoroughly enjoyed it
but decided not to follow through and play in college. :(

Anyway, I did have a question regarding my clarinet. My parents
bought it for $45 when I was in 6th grade (~16 years ago). It is a
wooden "noblet". I haven't heard anyone on the list mention "noblet"
yet and didn't know if it's just an "off-the-wall" company. It also
has "normandy france" written on it. Does anyone know anything about
this? I'd be interested in knowing if it is a "professional" or what!

Just FYI - I've been taking a couple of lessons from a guy who is in a
swing band and I am interested in learning jazz and blues.

Thanks for any information!!!
