It is very enlightening and interesting to read other people's experiences
with the different equipment both here and on the bulleting board. It
really spotlights the fact that people are different and may need different
setups. So just for the record I'll expand on my own.

B45 mouthpiece:

Love the way it sounds, but I do have to make sure I don't get lazy as the
sound can spread if I do.

No problem for either of my daughters but both also started on a medium reed
(Mitchell Lurie 2.5 or 3). Younger daughter had especially good sound with
this.

Runs slightly sharp on the various horns I own including altissimo G (at
least when I play, older girl switched to oboe and younger is not into
altissimo yet). Of course it could be me.
