It's not my favorite, either, but it IS popular around here. I used to
play one, because it came with my Series 10, but later moved to more open
mouthpieces like the HS**, B45 and B44, and now Selmer C85 115. I hadn't
played one in years until I recently acquired an old Vito that had one in
it. It was not as bad as I remembered, but I'd probably still prefer to
play my old Selmer Goldentone 3!
