David, I'm practising with your fingerings for the A F C F but, for the Bb F D F,
I've altered the fingering for the high F to facilitate the finger combination.
Instead of using the first two side keys, I use only the second side key and take
my thumb off (as for the open D). This also gives me an F (just a tad higher but
still OK). I don't know if it would work on a French instrument as my top side
trill key is quite low compared to most I've seen. I'd be curious though.
