Subj: [kl] An auditorium (re)dedication
Date: Wed, 4 Nov 1998 10:14:54 -0500

When my beloved high school orchestra teacher died unexpectedly several
years after I graduated, he was succeeded by an equally musically gifted
and charismatic conductor who was adored by his students. This Saturday
the high school auditorium will be re-dedicated the Furjanick-Sandberg
Auditorium. This evening as many old alumni instrumentalists, of those
two eras, who could
be contacted will go to the auditorium to pick up music for the Saturday
morning rehearsal and the 2pm concert. Since KLARINET has more than
a thousand members (at my last count) there is better than an outside
chance that at least one other of you graduated from Woodrow Wilson
High School in Long Beach, CA between 1946 and 1981 and played in the
band or orchestra.
Might I run into any of you this evening in the process of picking up
your music? If so, I'll bring along some trios, quartets and quintets.
Heck, I'll bring my whole silicon symphony with me if I get the word
from you. Let me know! 8-)

Oliver
