According to what Leblanc has published, it is not similar in design to the
R-13 (that honor belongs supposedly to the Infinity model) and was not
intended to be. The Opus is supposed to be a total redesign to seek that
ever elusive combination of wonderful tone, accurate and even intonation,
and projection. Whether they have achieved that or not will be up to the
clarinet playing community to decide.
