Hi all. I'm playing Michael Dougherty's Dead Elvis on Eb.
I don't play much Eb. The part goes up to a high (4 ledger line)
G# and A, and I can't figure out fingerings that would work.
Any hints? Ideas to try?

I've played Eb off and on for many years.......and the notes you
mention....G#, and A are just plain hard....... I find that I must be in
shape...I cant just pick up the Eb after weeks off and make these notes play.

I have also found that I must use a very stiff reed...and sacrifice tone
quality in the lower registers.....AND practically damage my lip?

I hope somebody else can offer better help....

Teri Herel...you say you always play double-lip on Eb....Can you produce a
high G, G#, and A??????? I'm interested (this from another closet double-
lipper)
